Project | Leaving a Legacy

For two consecutive years, I have served as a Legacy Leader for the University. My duties were to mentor a group of ten students to make their transitions into college a little more easier.

Project | President of the African Student Union

As the president of the African Student Union, my duties were to take charge and delegate this organization in order to get the rest of the campus community to get in tough with their roots. We engaged in numerous volunteer and community service events as well hosted an African Night that was a great success.

Project | MARC U* STAR Scholar
I was awarded this appointment to aid me in my matriculation as a research student.

Project | 04

Project | Study Abroad
I was awarded the opportunity to stud abroad in several countries. I have traveled to Bahia, Brazil and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, I have traveled to Niarobi, Kenya, as well as Faro, Portugal.
In the Spring of 2015, I traveled to Bahia and Rio de Janeiro and studied colorism and and healthcare throughout the country. 
 
In the Spring of 2016, I traveled to Niarobi, and studied colorism and healthcare. I studied culture and technology as well.
 
January 2018, I was awarded the Atlantis Fellowship to study abroad in a European country and shadow doctors. During this fellowship, I traveled to Faro and shadowed an OB/GYN during my time there.
